How does it work?

I always feel so honoured to be invited into those early, hazy newborn days and that's why I want to make your newborn session as relaxed and calm as possible. I will come to your home so you don't have to travel anywhere, we find a nice cosy spot in with the best natural light and I take photos whilst you cuddle and soak up your new baby, what could be better! Newborn sessions are usually a little longer than other sessions (around an hr and half to 2 hrs) as we have lots of stops for feeds and cuddles. Please don't worry if your little one is unsettled during the session, we can take our time and if it really is not the day we can always reschedule.

What if our baby is early or late?

Having recently been in the newborn stage myself, I know how difficult it can be to plan for, therefore I try to make my newborn sessions as flexible and calm as possible. When you book, we pencil in a flexible date that can be changed based on when your little arrives and importantly, when you feel ready. Most newborn photographers would recommend having your photography session with 2 weeks of their birth, but because of the natural style of my photography I would recommend any age up to 6 weeks, giving us lots of time to play with.

What do I wear/the house is a mess etc?

Don't worry!! I don't need a lot of space, just a cosy spot next to a window with natural light is all I need! I also send out a mini prep guide before the shoot so you have a few handy tips of how to prepare and ideas for styling/outfits - but the idea is for you to be you!

What's the investment?

All photography is an investment and your photographs will only get more valuable to you over time. This is especially true with newborn photography, your baby will grow faster than you can blink and capturing those early yawns, scrunches and toes will be priceless to you in a few years time.
